Revealed Glory in Us

Fasting & Prayer

Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together.

Psalm 34

O give thanks unto the Lord: for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever.

Psalm 136:1

Upper Room family,

We believe that God desires to reveal His glory to us in many ways in 2026. Three words we believe God has given for this fast and for the new year are:

Prepared — Preserved — Positioned

We may not know what the year holds, but God does. As we align with Him and walk in partnership with the Holy Spirit, we believe His glory will be revealed. This will be a 21-day fast and prayer journey.

Phase 1: Preparation

January 2–8 • 6AM–6PM

We believe these first seven days will be days of repentance, cleansing, healing, and renewal.

Fasting Guidelines:

• Chicken & fish (baked, not battered)

• Vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, berries

• Water + 100% juices

• No sweets / no sugar

• No dairy

• No alcohol

• No sodas

This is not just fasting, it is drawing closer to God. Commit time to Him daily: pray, read the Word, be still in His presence.

Suggested Scriptures:

Jeremiah 33:2–3 • Isaiah 42:2–9 • Psalm 51:2–7 • Isaiah 1:16 • Ezekiel 36:25 • 1 John 1:19 • Hebrews 10:22

Phase 2: Preservation

January 9–16 • 6AM–6PM

We focus on God as our refuge, shield, and strength. God guards, sustains, and delivers His people.  Is not this the fast that I have chosen, to loose the bands of wickedness, undo heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free?

Fasting Guidelines:

• No Meat

• Vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, berries

• Water + 100% juices

• No sweets / no sugar

• No dairy

• No alcohol

No sodas

Isaiah 58:6
God preserves us in mind, body, and spirit.

Phase 3: Positioned

January 17–22 • 6AM–6PM

These final days are about surrender and alignment.

Fasting Guidelines:

• Vegetables

• Soups

• Broths

• Some plant-based meals

This is a time to say:

“Lord, I am sincere about this. My heart is in it.”  With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will finish strong and draw closer to God.

Scriptures for Encouragement

Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1

I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall harm you.

Luke 10:19

I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

Final Thought
We believe as we fast, pray, humble ourselves, and seek God, He will heal, restore, and reveal His glory in us.
